Privacy Policy

What we collect — and what we don't

This site has no user accounts, sets no cookies of its own, and runs no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We collect only what the site's own features need:

• Reading counts. Article pages report views and likes to our server, which stores them as aggregate counts per article — numbers, not identities. Your browser's local storage remembers which articles you have liked, on your device only, so the button stays lit when you return.
• Newsletter signups. If you subscribe, we store your email address, the signup time, and the page you signed up from, in a private file on our own server. The list is never sold or rented. As of this policy's publication we have not sent any newsletter email and have not shared the list with any email provider; if that changes, this policy will be updated first.
• Form protection. The subscribe form uses your IP address briefly to rate-limit submissions and block spam signups.
• Machine access. Our MCP endpoint (/mcp.php) logs each tool call: timestamp, tool name, the article slug or search text requested, the result count, and a coarse client category derived from the user agent (for example, browser or bot class). It does not store IP addresses, full user-agent strings, or request bodies. We use this aggregate log to understand how AI agents read the archive.
• Standard server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider's servers automatically record standard access-log entries (IP address, time, page requested, user agent) to operate the site securely and reliably.

How we use it

To run the site, count readership, operate the newsletter when it launches, prevent abuse, and improve the archive for human and machine readers. We do not sell personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Links out

Articles and pages link to third-party sites and services (social platforms, our merch store, sources we cite). Those sites have their own privacy policies; this one covers thewhitereport.com only.

Your choices

Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to delete it — for the newsletter list, one email to steven@cetech.ai removes your address. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
