When I encountered PM on tv 18 years ago I thought he was the best thing since sliced bread. He answered many questions I had about the bible and he made studying God’s word fun. I became an addict for studying the scriptures. Later on I got on the internet and found lots of other people who studied with him, too. I think that’s when my eyes started to open. What PM taught didn’t sound exactly the same when I heard it from other people. I started hearing little things I knew weren’t correct.
Like his teaching about the very elect in Matthew 24:24. PM used to go on about the very elect as though they were set apart from the regular elect but that verse doesn’t mean that. It means they shall deceive EVEN the elect. I wondered why a dude who spent 40 years studying the bible wouldn’t know the meaning of that verse. Pretty soon I began to notice more and more things that didn’t line up with the bible.
When I raised my questions to other students they turned on me quick and viscious like how dare I question the annointed of God. The level of fury at my questions led me to know there was something wrong with a lot of PM’s students. I wrote that off to myself as maybe he attracted a lot of rebellious people but that wasn’t his fault. Right? I started noticing the hostile and prideful way the students reacted to outsider visitors on the forums and even to each other sometimes. I wasn’t immune to it either. I was also noticing more and more that a lot of what PM was teaching could not be proven from the bible unless you chose to agree with things because he said them.
At first I felt disloyal like I was nitpicking a great teacher of the bible. Wasn’t this the man who got me interested in studying the bible in the first place? I asked myself why would God send me to this teacher if he wasn’t for real. But I could not ignore the little voice telling me that I was learning PM’s opinions instead of truth. The more I took PM’s advice to check everything he said out for myself in the bible the more he was shown to be wrong. Very wrong.
I learned that many years ago PM predicted the second coming of Christ would be in 1981. He said the signs and seals were revealed to him by God. When he was wrong he explained it as the signs and seals are not in order. Like it was an honest mistake that could be made by anybody. In spite that it’s written in Dueteronomy that someone who falsely makes a prediction should never be considered a source from God ever again most of the students remain loyal to him over what’s in the bible.
PM teaches another gospel that makes your hearts harder the longer you listen to it. He fills you with superiority about knowledge and pride over who you think you are. The real gospel of Christ teaches all meekness and humility. I’ve been there and I know how genuine SC seems. Listen to the little doubts about some of PM’s teachings because it’s God trying to get your attention.
I’ve been a student of Murray’s for twenty years. I totally disagree with the other comment here from Dean. After all, Murray teaches by reading every verse of every book, so to see he teaches “just enough” Bible isn’t right. And he never places one race over another, the Bible does focus on the History of the Jews, but that’s the Bible, not Murray.

Amen. I am more aware now than any other time in my life how suttle the serpant can be.I listened to murray off and on for more than 12 years event went to gravitte for a live service.There was always a not quite right something about him.
He preaches just enough bible to get and keep the hearers attention and then the white is right gets sliped into the message.
I had heard about the gun issue but did not know there was a video.The video speaks volumes.Had it not been a live feed it no doubt would have never seen the light of day.I thank God for you and your research I will most definately rethink my walk with Christ.I understand why we are to know them that labor amoung us and how satan can fool the very elect if were possible.
