In The Beginning..
A group of associates decided to secure land near Clarksville, Arkansas for a Kingdom Identity compound. Among them were Wesley A. Swift, Roy E. Gillaspie & Richard G. Butler of the Christian Defense League, Gerald L.K. Smith & Opal Tanner White, Fred Demoret and pastors Arnold B. Murray & Leeland Jandebeur. The dream never came to be, but a trailer behind the home of a supporter became a sort of library of records in the Christian Identity movement. Many writings from the 1970’s took place there.
Butler went on to head Aryan Nations. Demoret became the pastor of Christian Identity Church in Arkansas. [pastored at one time by Thom Robb, K.K.K.] Swift had been founder of the infamous White Identity: Church of Jesus Christ Christian, California. Gillaspie pastored a sister church in Bellflower and published MEMO U.S.A. Smith, a White Supremacist, was part of the America First Committee and Liberty Lobby. He later formed the America First Party and published the anti-semitic Cross and the Flag. In 1978 Murray & Jandebeur collaborated to write the Shepherds Bible, a Kingdom Identity version of the bible with commentary.
The 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s were filled with newspaper articles and editorials chronicling the unbridled bigotry and lawlessness of many of these men. They preached a gospel of hate and segregation.. and America knew it.

‘At the heart of racism is the religious assertion that God made a creative mistake when He brought some people into being.’ **Friedrich Otto Hertz
‘Anti-Semitism is a horrible disease from which nobody is immune; It has a kind of evil fascination that makes an enlightened person draw near the source of infection, supposedly in a scientific spirit, but really to sniff the vapors and dally with the possibility.’ **Mary Mccarthy
‘Not every antisemite is a rabid bigot or a practicing demagogue; Some are mere fellow travelers.’ **The Many Faces of Antisemitism
